do you present or treat yourself as a Chinese or Singaporean, when you are doing business aboard?
on the very first instinct, i will say Singaporean.
my dad reply is Chinese. because, you will see Chinese all around the world. but rarely they are Singaporean,many of them are from Taiwan , Hong Kong or PRC.
Pure Singaporean may be vanishing in few hundred years.LOL.government are encouraging foreigners and Singapore birth rate is falling. but still.
many people still love Singaporean, cause all of them are well mannered and kind=) easy to cheat them too.LOL.

meet a singaporean in suzhou today.a mid age CEO of a renovation company, when for dinner together. brought us to a cafe selling singapore food !!!!! god bless. chicken rice=) and nasi lemark. laska. prawn mee. hokkien mee. many many. saw a few singaporean eating there.
BUT no really nice leh. haha. the rice is cold some more.nais lemark no coconut taste and smell. open by a singaporean. but dont have the food taste=(

there is many colonial building alot people square and nanjing road, many of them are well preserve, just that mixing in with the new building look weird at times, and lost it beauty. most of the buildings are at least 100 years old. there are many shopping areas there, but, a shopping malls of 6 levels, 4 levels are for ladies. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. and. bored. because they are just selling those famous brand. nothing interesting. MORE EXPENSIVE THEN SINGAPORE.

3 days of relaxation. now, suffering!!!!!!

3 days of business mission organised by Ascendas to view their new Singapore- Huangzhou technology park and networking with people.

it have been a eye opener for me, networking, it was my first time, very nervous, inexperience, especially meeting with people older then me, with many experience and of higher status. like CEO, founder of company, i just feel like a nobody.LOL. communication, well, did not really did much networking, because of different business sector and well, partly because my dad is beside, but its really a nice experience, listen to many different story and well, abit of knowlegde gaining through all the conversation, of others stories and talking about the future market. Singaporean must really crack their brains to survive now.

lucky there is few singaporean, not all china national, and all of them speak almost perfect english. the youngest boss there is 26, and he is a singaporean , founder of a IT company=) wonderful.

it have been 2 years since i last went to shanghai, it have been a huge change,a very very big one.for good i guess.but the habits of the people still remain the same, what i hate most.

TRIP TO MALAYSIA WITH GRANNY=)

it have been years from the last trip to Malaysia with granny. 5 or 6 years. a one day tour organise by the friend of my grandpa, who had pass away. the tour have been going on for many years. at least 3 times per year, depending if my grandpa and his friend availability. now even after my grandpa pass away. its still the same.

its kinda of a old folks tour. lol. all on the bus were above 40 except 5. the tour guide and the organiser is hilarious, all the jokes on were in hokkien .lol. the folks play bingo on bus too, WIT MONEY. ha. though the tour is not really that exciting,but i really enjoy it.

it was heartwarming. with granny . inside the traditional biscuit shop. all she say were, ' what you wanna buy' ...' try'...'nice'...'buy'. ha. its the absent that makes us appreciate more.

it was double happiness that day

just a few days through 2009 and ALL is great.

went to HNF charity swim today, swam 116 laps, ha, but the main things is the fun at the pool with the team. so many rare people, CHAM , EDDIE, SELINA....more. and many photos today. feel that photography is fun too. but the cam is way too ex.

went to grandma house today, well think its about a month or 2 i last when. having my Saturday dinner there is really different. the less i went, the more i appreciate their presence, my aunt, my uncle , my cute niece.

swimming. yes. but not competitive anymore.

weeks have past, many lesson learnt. knowledge gain. updates and discovery.

working with hong cherh today, ok , not much, but just 3 hours. and the words , mei yan and hoon were repeat like 100 times. haha. and found out dirty inside news of kenneth yeo.haha

this 2 weeks have been, slacking much. i cant feel the shrink of my body. everyday food is unhealthy , expensive , but nice=)) . if i do fall sick , it will be high cholesterol and lung cancer, from all the fired food, super sweetness, and second hand smoking. yes. im choke by black smoke everyday.

meet with Secondary peers last week, shock to hear so many pregnant cases. or is it too common now. and . encounter money and status dilemma. guess its a long long way path of enlighten for all of us. or just me.

when for the engine leadership camp last few days, was tired, as just finished my competition.
whole week is burn, with camp and resting. HAHA.

COMPETITION

all over. everything end quite happily. have some hinder here and there, everyday of the competition we are LATE.haha. really feel the stress during the comp, having to plan with the logistics, food ,admin stuff and MONEY & PEOPLE. and one idiot make me SUFFER all this. we know who. dun really think i have done a really good job, with all the comp preparations and its not really smooth going. HAIZ.

really thanks alot, if not, i dun know how many times would i have die during the comp with so many hiccup.

oh man, 3 days have pass, and only manage to finish one subject. or rather go through chapter.

anyway, feel like blogging cause i have fail to blog on 18/08/2008. a very special and unforgettable day for all TP lifesaver of my batch. a farewell party for Patrick before he leave TP to venture the world and find a place we his effort and talent could be shown,seen and last but not least RECOGNISE and RESPECTED.

when i first joined lifesaving last year. im just nobody and not noticed. i dont swim well, not chatty, not really sporting. though i went in with a BM ,but i was somehow not selected. but it was Patrick who give me the chance, and accepted me. the tons of advise and encouragement he give and the belief and trust he have in me and give me chances to proof myself, to whom im today. all of this might be fate, but regardless, without him, theres no chen an the vice cap today.

his way of anticipating life does really affect who im today. have trust and giving chances to others. and the sacrifices he does and effort he put in for lifesaving. i can feel it all , cause im in the progress of it now. how tough mentally it is, and how much time it takes.

theres always a end to everything. thus its just sooner or later Patrick will leave us. but why must it be this year. where its such a GREAT GREAT year, having the best competitors and most important of all, a big bunch of well bond, ACTIVE AND JOYFUL JUNIORS.

i believe they will pass down the lifesaving spirit that Patrick have injected.

is not bad actually. work for a 9 hour shift at serangoon pool. and head to grandma house after that. grandma is cooking CHILLI CRAB. my favorite. and CAKE. for my brother birthday=D

SO MANY THINGS HAPPEN FOR THIS 3 WEEKS.

though cannot really say is my changing point of my life, but i really learn alot from the incident. there is always times that we must learn to let go or part with. and contiune life with new changes.'dun wish to say the incident out anymore, i have repeated to many people till so tired and sick of it. lol. and thinking of it makes my blood boil too.

really have to thanks those who keep supporting and assisting me. with so many things happen, we really got even more bonded. i really HAPPY to know all the junior are so supportive. its just a waste. GOOD OLD DAY are OVER.

everyone around is letting go, i will hang on, i would not wanna everything fall apart. and im sure neither will the junior do so=D

argh. left with 3 project. ha. im really gratefully for all the help WEIYING give me. so not fated .miss the only chance to see her on tuesday. i did not need to go to schoool. haha

thats happen last saturday.

well, this is my last year in TP, yea, should know that i should study harder not dun get so involve in my sport. BUT. this is my last year, and will be my only chance to take play in the competiton.there will not be another year more.

i know i will not go far and be great in it, but at least, i want my effort to be seen, or what i have train so far will be wasted.
as many have say, leaders would have to show their responsibility, if i could be adsent from training i wish too, i have miss so much of my life due to training, family , friends .

hope i could fully put good use of my remaining time to good use. i have even touch on my driving yet.wasted my money. ARGHHHH.

this 2 month will be the critical one, training for upcoming national championship and my studies. i know i will be all out for swimming, all i could say is GOD BLESS.

I almost MAKE A RESCUE.

haha. yea. that happen on friday. lifeguarding for 3 days, and there is happening for the 3 days.

FRIDAY

lifeguard at serangoon. after my lunch break, walking towards my point, i heard HELP, HELP, i stone for a moments, and graze at the pool then again i heard HELP,HELP, i saw a little boy in the middle of the pool struggling, just then jimmy call out to derrick over walkie, derrick stood up and WATCH too ( its his point ),and ran towards where im standing, then out of no where a boy jump in, which is the victim brother and manage to pull him in, and the 3 of us just WATCH, NO ONE WANNA JUMP IN, haha, so bad la, those full time LG really slacker man.
actually im suppose to jump in, cos im the nearest, but i just have my lunch, too FULL. haha.

SATURDAY

oh man, THIS IS THE WORST LG EXPERIENCE. cause im scold by the public. LG at YCK, watching over the wading pool with slides, parents are accompany their kids, the kids are doing funny things at the slides and i when over to watch them for a while. Suddenly, out of no where, i saw a man jumping out of the pool ( the pool is shallow) and stand right in front of me VERY CLOSEly, he said : ' do i know you? WHY ARE YOU STARING AT ME ? WHY ARE YOU NOT DOING YOUR JOB AND KEEP STARING AT ME? STOP STARING AT ME AND DO YOUR JOB OK'. then he when off with his kids to the middle pool. WHAT THE @#$%&?!@#$%.
IM WEARING A SUNGLASSES OK. how could he see my eyes staring at him, and even so , im looking at big group of people, so many of them, im just STARING at everyone la. LOL . so pissed.

LG at serangoon, struggling case again, but this time is a adult lady with her BF, but kind uncle steven jump in and do the rescue. and PANDA. saw her at the pool today with her parents, dumb her went there to seat and not swim, cause she is afraid she drown. LOL

sunday training last week have the largest turnout so far. GREAT. almost all the juniors came.

and, yeah, its mei yan , my QM birthday. and we got her the WONDERFUL cake, and make her eat the red part. she got smash on cakes and throw into sea. LOL. we end really late that day, after that when shopping around VIVO till 8. brought myself a shirt from G2K. sooo tired =( . next day still have camp.

MONDAY.

the camp. oops . i was late for it. hahaha. miss the ice breaking session with my juniors. but manage to join them in the amazing race. LOL . first day have around 30, second day cut to half. =( . am i too flexible with them?

over all is a great camp, im sure some how the juniors did have some bonding and learn so skill. lol. im really greatful to those who help out in the night walk, they are wonderful=D

back from leadership camp yesterday, it was GREAT=D

make a few frens there, its a short but nice camp.first day in school, with all the talk and 'lectures' , kinda boring. but s second day in sentosa for bonding games is much nicer, follow by dinner at coastas.then part our ways there.

school opening soon, not prepare for it=( . i haven even enjoy it yet, most of the days is spend at swimming pool, lifeguard or swimming, kinda wasted. hope can get to chill out with frens next week, LAST week of holidays leh.

im here to post so phone taken during my trip to Paula AUR, Malaysia, for Bronze Cross. and YEAH. pass it. can be lifeguard at sentosa liao=D

it was a wonderful fun trip, one that i will not forget. with those wonderful n funny friends who went with me, we bond together and got even closer at the end of the trip.

the island is far away from main island malaysia. 3 hours of ferry to reach the island. it is isolated, sort of deserted apart from the kampongs on the island. not modern luxury facilities, like thing you can do there is, relax on the beach, all the beach activities, terkking, scuba diving or snorkelling. BORED ? not really , its kinda relaxing on the island with the mesmerising nature and beach it have. i was sort of reluctant to leave the island by the end of 3 days stay. i KNOW i will be back to the, fast pace stressful life once back home.

argh , at long last make a update, and now, its 2.30 am. LOL. so tireddd.

haven been updating for 1 months, so many things have happen, cant really remember them all. Yeah, upload photo of my trip to Zoo during chinese new year, and visit to my aunt house.this year chinese new year is so quiet for me.

HOooary , holiday is here, so happy , my long waited holiday, but haiz, fail one subject this time, preparing for my sub paper. Anyway did not work much in the holiday too, just being a part time lifeguard waiting for people to call me. this holiday seems so short to me, so fast it is coming to the end of march leh=( boohoo.

looking forward to my PUALA AUR trip with fellow lifesaving mates=D. going for a bronze cross course, which is needed for beach lifeguard. CANT wait for the clear blue sea , with lots of sunshine. HAHA. it will sure be very very fun=D

really cant remember anything really nice happening during the exam period, other then mugging with jianlong and puxton. this is my first time mugging so hard for my poly exam.LOL. really really mug hard for it, everyday is spend in school studying.

but the rain is SCARY. it was a thunderstrom, constant lighting flashing and thundering for an hour, and the lighting look so low,really really low, as if it was on top us, will hit us anytime!!!

competition is over, i m very disappointed actually. cos i did not hit my target timing=(
but well, will try harder next year, actually i did not have much will power, if not , i will hit the timing, 42sec i swam, is only 2 second more, of target 40sec....will train hard=D

at long last, ha , its my third time taking. can start learning how to drive leh, YEAH. i really pray very hard when im doing the test, and i go through the question 2 times. LOL . and im the last to go, so pai seh . but luckily the examnier is very friendly=D

im so happy after the swim, i really feel very tense before the my event , but shaun told me , once u jump into the water, every worry on your mind will be gone and u will just do the best u can do. which is so TURE, the water is just so cold that my mind is blank and just keep on swimming my 'best'. and im so happy that im not the last one ,HAHA , im so afraid im the last for the 1st swimming competition i had. 13th out of 16 people, will work harder next year. there is still SATURDAY , i will do the best=D

well. think nothing much about 200m im taking part also. just try reallly hard and do my very best. LOL. and after that, I WILL TRAIN HARD FOR NEXT YEAR!

got my team package yesterday, a RED sleeveless, BLACK short , NAVY BLUE jammer , BLACK swim cap. hmm . but the swim cap is not really good, will get my own one, and goggles, i spoil it during training, anyway its wasnt a competitive goggles too, so i should get one.

when to HARDROCK CAFE with bel, ler, glen, johnson, august, jeremey, lai jie, sam and ME .

have dinner there, Wow the price is more expensive then usually , but food is quite nice. with entertainment of life band and KUMAR the comedian, he is sooo bloody funny. all his joke is about sex and racism. so damn funny. and the best part of the night is when GLEN is being sabotage on to the stage, and was force to lap dance and the later part when he dance with KUMAR is even funnier. i laugh till i DROP TEARS.

i think this is one of the enjoyable gathering i have in 2007, hope i can meet with those guys soon again, MISS those relaxing day we have in hougang. there always something to laugh about everyday.

when out with johnson and siru just now , we have not meet for sooooo long la, and this is the first time i when out for this sem, so long never went to relax myself leh, when to watch golden compass, it was a really nice short 4/5. then we when to liquid kitchen at serangoon garden for some beer and dessert. drink abit my face all red liao. LOL

well, have not been blogging for one whole month, school have reopen ,so busy.

STANDARD CHARTERED FULL MARATHON 42.195KM.

Very happy i was able to complete it, but sad was my timing is like shit.

i was abit unhappy with the race, i did not eat breakfast, no energy, then suppose that at 26 there should be a powerbar gel station to replenish our energy BUT when we reach there there is NO GEL LEFT. %#$^$%&%^. OMG me and my friend is so hungry loh.no energy liao loh.
the plan for us is the we run 21km non-stop, then jog or i shall say walk ,for 5 km to the powerbar gel station to replenish our energy, but there is none left. arghhh. we are demoralized.
but still we complete the run by 7 hr 45 min. really wonderful to finish it. after the run is like shit to me, leg is wobby, climbing of stair really KILLS.

hmm, not much happen actually, just schooling schooling and schooling. swimming , swimming and swimming.

hmm , nothing really happen today, have my swimming training at TP pool =D
yeah. finally open, but still have to head to safra on every wednesday till dec. anyway the pool is really ready yet, the toilet is nice, but BAD it seems like the school is saving water, theres is hardly any water coming out of the tap and the floor is very very dirty. after the training we when to cafe cartel for dinner, its the first time we went to a restaurant for dinner after training, we have cakes too as it was HALF PRICE, its was very nice and yummy. what happen next just funny, after paying the bill we are left with 4 dollars , and no one wanna have it, and guess what? we went to macdonald to buy 4 helping hands. so funny when ricky was buying the hands, the staff look abit stun. ha=D

tuesday, wednesday is just like another normal day. hmm

i just very lucky that i have a bunch of friends to encourage me and keep me going in school, THANKS GALs, YOU ALL MAKE MY DAY GREAT=D

a better life? may be

searching a flower u like amoung a whole of flower is tough. cause everyone of it have their own beauty. keeping the flower with you is even tougher, you cant just pluck the flower, cause it will not last forever, thus u have to bring home the whole plant and take care of it. where the toughest job come, u have to care it of , where there will be up and down, flower bloom and wilter, spend your time knowing it more and knowing it well.

well i guess i dont have fate with flowers, they just would bloom no matter how hard i try.

wow, yesterday was very tired durin work, thus when to take a 5 mintues nap in the store room after break...then , wake up , ARGH 45 mintues liao. ha . and no people wanna wake me up, even my manger also dun wanna wake me up. SOOO good=D

working at mizuno is actually quite fun, though boring cos of little customer we have, ha, then we will chat thoughout the day, birdtalk and crack jokes but still, the pay is very damn lowww. due to that, people dun really work hard for the company, thus the boss have to sell away his building, sell his 1year yellow limbo, which he brought from the money that is suppose to be given to his staff as bonus.DUMB boss yea.

well, was at sentosa whole day long, from 8am to 10pm for open water lifesaving competition.was helping out,but actually did not did alot of things, was slacking and enjoying the sea breeze under the sun all day long.ha.the ogranizer was stupid to drag it for so long, it should actually end early, but have drag due to a SERIES OF PROTEST. diao . stupid, bringing up problem which actually is not a problem at all. anyway, yesterday was a great day, we have won the overall men champion and also the over women champion, OF COURSE IS OVERALL CHAMPION TOOO.haha.all the seniors effort is well pay off.well, hope we can do the same next year=D.

saturday

was at east coast park in early morning at 7am.lol. i think that was the earliest i have wake up this year, i have wake up at 530!!! 530, sound so impossible to all my friends is guess, cos i always the latest in all my class.ha.well to do part time event helper for a cooperate event. well it end early. around 12, and easily earned $5o bucks=D.after that i, my sis and her friends when to eat at parkway.and fall asleep as soon as i reach room.was half dead.
the trip to east coast let me have flash back of memories......

have no school this week, but when to school yesterday to study with bel. haven been seeing her since we study together for mid sem test. well, she have not change much, except for her new hairstyle, which suits her well=D

my leg is fine now, trying to get back training soooon, but test coming, hmm, think going to stop swimming for this 2 weeks.

trying to find jobs, trying to get a life guard job if possible. many things have happening this 2 weeks, let me have a good view of what is really happening around me,and well, should not emphasize on it.

hmm.one month had passed,since i last updated my blog MYSELF.

school is still like shit,even now i am still rushing the project, "last week of school".yea.next week will be my study week.since coming back from the ipoh trip, i have been training frequently,try my best to swim every monday , wednesday and friday.thus, was really tired and busy this few week, doing project and training.

well,this few week have also been my best and happiest week though my poly life.althought have been very busy, but it feels that my life is complete and fill with life and activties though the busy day i have.and was also happy that,there is someone there caring for me too.

hmm.did not when to school today, infact, the last 2 day too,though i went to school, but i did not when for any lesson.hmm have a infection on the leg, something like a pimples,but a very very big one on m thigh.doctor say it may be a insect bite or hair pores infection.it hurts when i move my leg,think its pressing on my nerves.well hopefully it will be better the next few day.

my leg may have hurt,but my heart hurts more i guess.not matter what gal,i will not leave you behind.

20th july..

reach ipoh ard 8am... as our room i nt ready for checking in.. we put out bag in 1 small room. took our breakfast at de hotel.. set off to theme park tp play at 10am..my play mate is jeff lo.. haha.. he is stuck wif mi la.. i have a great time wif him.. was playing until darm high lo.. hang out wif xiao didi make mi feel younger at heart. haha..we try out all de slides.. de most high part is when patick play lo.. cos he always overturn.. haha.. somemore if coach.. fun fun..left there at 3pm.. den we went back to hotel to check in.. room mate is edwina and huiting!! and my bf stay de same floor as mi wif cheng an, chun quan and qi wen.. yeah!! bathe and sleep..mit up wif them at 6pm. we all set off to eat dinner outside.. den from there walk to jusco..i have a great time wif my bf.. we have coffee bean and auntie annie stuff... went shopping and eating lo.. haha..went back at ard 10pm.. went over to jeff they all de room lo.. cos an jia birthday ma.. haha. we all make her tot is meeting but is actually celebrating brithday for her..happi ting didn't last long.. cq saw *tings*brought him to our room.. den inform patick and coach.. hmmm..we went over to find jeff they all.. slept in their room.. we 3 don dare to sleep by ourself.. i didn't catch any sleep la.. wif this, i also saw sth i should nt be seeing lo.. haha.. i saw sum1 blah blah.. QIWEN!! haha... shall nt further sae wat i saw!!!

21th jul

..have free and easy time till 3pm.. so edwina huiting cheng an jeff qiwen chunquan and 1 went to jusco once again.. we went to eat sushi king.. de sushi there is nt nice at all sia..den went ard buying ting.. i gt a present for adeline..wanted to play bowling. but sum of them are tired.. well.. den we set off back to hotel..have a nap..mit up at 4pm.. went training at de competition pool.. de pool cant be compared if our tp pool la..have a light training. went for dinner host by de malaysian after tat.. de food was nt good.. have fun sharing de food.. haha..my dear jeff came over to acc we girls for de night.. i encoutered strange things la.. and don wish to tok abt it.. jeff heard it too.. and he acc mi throughtout de night.. tnx my dear.. i have a gd sleep due to ur care..

22th july.

we reach competition pool at ard 7plus.. do some warm up.. haha..my team gt 3rd!!!! haha.. we cant believe it also.. haha... every1 cant believe it too!!! my first for tp!!!! i'm so HAPPI!!!overall. tp did so well... out of 19 event.. 18 event we gt medal lo..total we gt 12 gold 3 silver and 4 bronze... how is it? good right??after competition.. we went back.. some went to pub.. those tat feel tired stay in de hotel.. and we are drinking in de hotel.. i was 1 of them.. was playing awhile in de room.. eat prata and burger..lights off at 12.30am.. but i didn't sleep la. my dear boy went to pub wif qiwen but de room key is wif cheng an ma.. somemore cheng an in my room sleeping.. so i stay up to wait for him..

23th july

when to sp where my sis study, then when to have our lunch at ikea, as usual MEATBALLS ,its so nice and unresistable=D
then after that when to queensway shopping centre with her friend.hmm actually wanna get some sport wear but every shop looks the same, all selling same staff, shop till i feel so sleepy and dizzy.lol.
after that when back to sp with them and do training with them, some warm up and after that running, its was really tiring, have been running for months, legs feel so heavy=(
after that when to CHOMP CHOMP to feast on food.yeah.we had our dessert first then have our main menu, hokkien noddles, oyster egg, string ray, lala. haha. but wasnt really fun at all.lol. sfter dinner send my sis friend home.its was 12 leh. so bloody tired, dun fell like bathing, but was smelly.

lifes not that bad for me recently...at least have been quite occupied with activites, last week was busy, going out with friends for movie , going for lifesaving swimming , and when to bel charlet on saturday...haiz, was quite disappointed on the charlet, abit not that fun, well may be because kelvin have lost his phone and johnson was abit sick, they lost the mood to play. have play polar bear and hunter till 3...then bel and his stead when to sleep, we when to the beach and chat, actually have thought that we could wacth the sun rise, but disappointment, there is no sun rise ARGHHH, we are in the wrong direction !!! anyway the charlet is great too, have catch up with some folks.
